Claire is the director of Clarity NT and is based in Alice Springs. Claire is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA), a Member of the Institute of Public Accountants (MIPA), a registered TaxAgent, and holds and Executive Certificate in Corporate Governance.

Claire has been living in Alice Springs for over 11 years starting her career with Deloitte before taking on the challenge of Group Finance Manager for a group of companies based in Central Australia.

Claire has extensive experience in working with not for profit organisations andunderstands the requirements, issues and challengesof working with these corporations

Claire enjoys working closely with not for profit organisations to help them achieve both their financial and non financial goals

Claire has a particular interest in streamlining processes within an organisation and finding efficiencies to be gained in organisational processes.

Claire was a finalist in the 2007 Telstra Business Women of the Year Award for the Community and Government Sector.

Mark is employed as Manager of Business and Advisory Services.

 

Mark brings an additional dimension to our team with his diverse experience.  The services he provides include:

  • Preparation of Business Plans and Strategic Studies
  • Feasibility and due diligence
  • Preparing or reviewing financial policies and procedures
  • Governance training and general governance advice, particularly with respect to the CATSI Act

Mark currently manages a relatively small group of our larger clients.  Mark believes that a key to any Organisation meeting it’s aims is that they have appropriate financial systems and processes, and for this reason, he provides a “best practice” approach to service provision.

Mark has had a lengthy career in the provision of various financial services.  He has almost 20 years’ experience working with “Big 4” Accounting firms both in Alice Springs and interstate.  Mark initially obtained Management, Communication and Report writing skills whilst working for Insolvency Practitioners in NSW and SA and more recently has prepared a considerable number of Business Plans, and other similar plans and reports.   Mark first came to Alice Springs in 1990 and for most of this decade he worked directly for various Aboriginal organisations, including 2 years at 2 homeland communities on APY Lands, SA.  Mark has had extensive experience working with not for profit organisations.

Mark has travelled extensively through southern NT, APY Lands in SA and to several Ngaanyatjarra communities in WA.

Nicoletta is our Darwin based Accountant who has come to us from the exciting world of BHP Billiton as a Business Performance and Reporting Superintendant. Previous to this role Nicoletta was a Client Manager with Deloitte working in both their Alice Springs and Darwin offices for over 10 years. With her 10 years in Public Practice and more recently 4 years involvement in a global resource leader, Nicoletta brings a diverse skill set:

 

  • Management Accounting including business planning, budgeting and forecasting and process improvements
  • Governance and Internal Controls – development of structured processes/procedures and establishing monitoring and reporting of compliance
  • Fixed Asset management
  • Key Stakeholder Reporting both financial and non-financial
  • Taxation

Nicoletta is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. In 2004 she won the Young Business and Professional Women (Australia) Award and 2005 NT Finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards for the Australian Government Private and Corporate Sector Award and Panasonic Young Business Women’s Award.

Nicole started her finance career working with the Northern Territory Government (NTG) about 14 years ago. Whilst working for the Government Nicole undertook a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and branched into an NTG Business Manager role which helped cement her theoretical studies with practical experience. Nicole then went on to complete her Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualification and became a Finance Consultant for the Government, providing accounting and business advice mainly to NTG Schools. After a while Nicole decided to join ClarityNT in 2014 to gain some Business Services experience and in particular support her keen interest in taxation services. Nicole now enjoys working in the areas of audit, taxation services and financial statement preparation for our ClarityNT clients and as she has completed further taxation studies, intends to obtain her Tax Agent Registration in the near future.

 

Nicole was originally born & raised in Alice Springs however is now located in Darwin where she works remotely for ClarityNT, mainly supporting Alice Springs small businesses and not-for-profit entities.

Kim moved to Alice Springs in 2014 from Denver, Colorado with her husband and three sons.   Kim has a Master of Science in Accounting as well as an MBA, both from the University of Colorado.

 

Kim has considerable experience working in the accounting and financial field in varied roles including bookkeeping for small businesses and auditing of large corporations.

Brooke is a local of Alice Springs. She has extensive bookkeeping experience and knowledge and a background in child care and not for profits/sporting clubs.

 

Brooke is currently studying a Diploma in Accounting at CDU. She has Cert III and IV(which she received an award for)

She loves learning new things and would like to expand into doing tax returns and audits. Enjoys riding and volunteering at the local BMX club.

Deborah has been working in various finance roles around Australia for the past 13 years. Deborah has a vast amount of experience as a Financial Counsellor, working predominantly with rural clients.  Deborah has also worked in various Taxation Roles with H & R Block as well as other small accounting practices, worked in various roles including Tax consultant in Victoria to Financial Counselling in Outback QLD.

 

Deborah holds a Bachelor of Business (Financial Management, Human Resource Management) as well as a Diploma of Rural Business Management and a Diploma of Agriculture.

Calvin moved to Alice Springs in June of 2016 from Washington D.C. Prior to moving he oversaw the Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Team for the United States Army where he was heavily involved in the development of internal controls and process improvement. Prior to his work with governmental accounting Calvin served for 5 years as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army.

 

Calvin received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from The Citadel, a Military University in the United States.
